Dave Fehling represents the best of broadcast news, having set himself apart from many
of his colleagues by covering important issues stories in an in depth and insightful
manner. His careful and thorough approach to the news makes him an asset to the community.
Among the many environmental stories he has covered are air quality and the Grand Parkway
highway.
His primary assignments are for the "UpClose" segments on the 10:00 pm news.
Before coming to KHOU in 1998, he spent four years as a staff correspondent for CBS news.
He also has worked as a journalist in Cincinnati and Lexington, Kentucky. He is originally
from Indiana.
Dave Fehling's work for the community is not limited to journalism. In his spare time
he serves as a tutor for students enrolled in literacy and GED courses, and records books
for Taping for the Blind.
